Building a Scalable IOT Platform for UV Disinfection
A Smart air quality monitoring and device management platform designed for healthcare and institutional facilities to create safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environments.
We engineered the solution from the ground up, combining IoT Connectivity, MQTT messaging, Cloud APIs, Database Infrastructure, and a mobile application into a scalable platform capable of supporting connected devices at scale.

The System connects devices to the cloud Using MQTT and delivers a simple mobile experience.
The Architecture was designed around MQTT as the communication layer between connected devices and the cloud.

VioletC required more than a standalone UV Disinfection Device
The Product needed a reliable way to connect physical devices to the cloud while giving users simple and intuitive control through a mobile application.
The Platform needed to handle:
TECH SOLUTION
Otomator Designed and Developed a cloud connected IoT architecture around MQTT, Node.js/Express.js and MongoDB.
The System connects the physical VioletC device with its cloud backend and mobile application, creating a complete connected device ecosystem.
1. CLOUD BACKEND
The Backend was built using Node.js and Express.js.
The Backend acts as the application and device management layer between the mobile application, database and IoT infrastructure. It handles core functionality such as device management, APIs, data handling and integration with the MQTT Communication.

2. WEB BASED DEVICE MANAGEMENT
For Organisation operating multiple VioletC devices, managing each device individually through a mobile application isn't practical.
Otomator developed a web-based device management platform that gives organisations a centralized view of their connected devices. The platform can be used by hospitals, hotels, offices, facilities and other organisations that need to manage multiple devices across their premises.
